NOT MUCH TIME TIL THE BIG DAY!

I`m getting married in 3 months and I am completely stumped as to where to have the reception, and how to decorate it seeing as though I don`t have an artistic bone in my body. I`ve been to Michael`s (home decorating store) for decorating ideas, but I can`t peace them all together. Can someone help me? This isn`t going to be a real formal or large wedding/reception. Other than a VFW, what kind of facility would be easy on the pocket book, but not too difficult to dress up to make a nice reception. I live in Bel Air, MD. If anyone is from around here, can you tell me of some nice places to have it.

Have you searched on the net for outdoor garden wedding spots? I am getting married in the mountains of California, pine trees everywhere. So the only thing I need to decorate are the tables. But 3 months in MD would land in you cold weather? How about a reception hall that has large windows looking over a lake, ocean, etc. I think most hotel reception halls are decorated quite nicely, so all you have to worry about are the tables.

I don`t know about Maryland, but in Minnesota we have a publication called Minnesota Bride. Maybe there would be something similar in your state. MN Bride always has a 4- or 5-page-long listing of reception sites, with prices and limitations.
