Rehearsal Dinner

Please give me a reply soon.Do i offer to pay for guest not included in the wedding party. I have been asked to pay for spouces of some of the wedding party at a rehearsal dinner at a restaurant. It will be about 20 people where as there are 14 in the wedding party which I agreed to pay for. This wedding is on Oct. 15 the dinner is the 14th. It is my sons wedding. What is the best delicate way to handle this.? any answers will be appreciated thanks Larry

Did you give them invitations? If you did it should mean that they automatically assumed only the invited guests will be paid for. If not, try telling your son to pass the word on gently that everyone is welcome to come but you can only afford to pay for the original guest`s meals. Assuming they are all friends, it`s not something that they would take offense to.
