House Of Brides Aurora/Fox Valley Mall

I ordered - and paid for - my wedding dress, veil and headpiece in November of 2004. It is now October 10, 2005 - 5 days before my wedding, and I still don`t have my dress. Each time I called to check on it, I was told not to worry - and they would contact me when it came in. Since I have never been married before - and they do this for a living, I trusted them to have my dress here on time.
The final straw came when I called in September and was told - very rudely - that my dress will not be in until the week before the wedding. Somehow I was supposed to squeeze in two fittings the week of my wedding. (The dress would have to be altered, and they were supposed to do a few more thing to it that would take some time.)
My fiance and I went there Sunday - 6 days before the wedding and were treated very rudely. Our request to talk to the manager was turned down. I found out - quite by accident that my veil and headpiece were there - I never received any notice that they had it. I was told it wasn`t their fault that the mail didn`t get to me. They never even tried my phone number or e mail.
When I pressed for answeres as to where my dress was, I was met with, "Well, what do you expect me to do about it? Gee, I expect you to at least try to find it!
Today when we called, we were met with rudeness and apathy. My fiance tried to get the manager again, but was turned down, and when asked for her name, the woman on the phone hung up on him.
I received a phone call tonight saying they found the dress at another store - no one knew who it belonged to, so they just hung it up somewhere for weeks. When I asked that they ship it to me (we live an hour or more away from the store), I was met with "Well, we can mail it, but I don`t know when you`ll get it.
Not one single apology have I received - and I don`t actually have my dress in hand yet.
Never again - HOB Aurora!
