May Wedding Colors

My theme is Simple but Elegant. My date is May 31st.
I have no clue as to what color I want. I want to stay with Spring colors but stay away from the lavendars its been done TOO many times. My dress is Ivory. I`ve thought about Mocha`s, champagnes but feel this would blend with my dress. Any favorite colors or suggestions, besides lavendar or platinum or blush.
Help?

My daughter is also getting married in May. She has chosen to do a pastel rainbow color theme. It sounds really different, but when we went and put all the colors together it was really beautiful. You just pick out as many colors as you have attendants. Have each of them give you two colors they would like to wear and then you have no problems with two girls wanting to wear the same color. Good luck.

I`m getting married on May 30th. I also am having a problem to pick a color. My dress is also ivory and I liked they idea of having a rich color to complement it. I was thinking of using deep red which I know would be classified as a fall call but I really don`t like the spring colors.

We`re getting married May 31st also! Good Luck with everything.
We are using burgandy as a main color. Yellow or red are some good spring colors you might want to try.

I had a gal order a bridal party set and she was having her bridesmaids wear a mint green it was pretty and different.

My wedding is date is May 17th and my colors are mainly ivory and light blue, a little black and silver mixed in with the decorations. I wanted colors that would be good for spring but I`m just not into pinks, purples or yellows.

We`re getting married May 31st too! Congratulations! Our colors are a spectrum of spring colors: baby blue, light pink, lilac, etc. We`re incorporating a daisy theme also. Daisy are very pretty, simple, and cheap!

Think about what type of flowers you want, and in the spring you have such a wide variety. Have a multi color for flowers, and then have maybe mauve color. Taupe is also pretty. The only thing is you would be pretty limited to the color of flowers. Mostly white and ivory color...ie....orchids, gardinias, virginia roses, etc.

One color that is underated in weddings is turquoise (aqua) it is a color that is purifying, and calming. (When you think of the Carribean it is not blue water but the turquoise water that makes you want to be there). Ivory would blend nicely. Be happy.

I think for May ice blue or turquoise would be good. Also I like the idea of a spring rainbow: bridesmaids in pink, lemon yellow, light lime green, sky blue, and lavender.... Beautiful. Email if you wish, I`m an artist and LOVE talking about colours!

I am also planning a may wedding. My flowers will mainly be all white except for a splash of colors here and there. I will be using lilies and orchids as the color peices.

I also want to try to stay away from lavender and periwinkle... It seems so cliche with weddings...

I am getting married on May 16... My girls are wearing sage (darker than celery) They will be carrying lavender and ivory roses with blue hydrangea. The color scheme is based on their jewelry which I purchased first which consists of peridot, lemon yellow and periwinkle necklaces, bracelets, and earrings. The 3 colors are represented everywhere within the line and reception colors.

How about a pale yellow, like buttercup or a pale peach. Goes with everyones complexion and pick your best bet. Not many people use those colors & they are both very springtimish. My wedding was in June of last year & we went w/royal purple & buttercream yellow. No problem w/flowers & it wasn`t a color combination that had been done to death...good luck.
