Dress Made In India

I have just found this question you posted and was wondering if you did get any information on making your wedding dress in India. Like you I am planning a trip to India and would like to get my weding dress, invitations and favours made there. No ! I have no info. I am going to see some friends who have just been and hopefully they have some answers for me. Another friend who`s mum goes regularly says a place called SHEETALS in Bombay is where she gets all her stuff made. I am not sure if it is Indian style outfits of wedding dresses. If i get anymore info I will post a message. When are you going???

Hi there,

No long now !! I think you can find someone to sew a dress for you anywhere in India really as they are all very talented. The key to getting it sewn well and cheap is hiring a local to show you around for a couple of days as he will be able to speak the language and explain what you want and bargain . They are extremely cheap to hire once there. Good luck and if I get any info for you I will post a message.
