I am the mother of a 35 yr. Old handicapped woman who has been on the shots for more than 2 years. She has had weight gain and of late has had mood swings and fits where she has thrown herself on the floor kicking and screaming. Mentally she is 8 and this is very terrifing to her as she has no idea why she is doing these things. She is normally a happy wonderful person but I believe that the shots have done this to her. I had them stop the shots 4 months ago and she still has not gotten her period and was told that it could take as long as a year before she gets it back. Al her symptoms seem like early menapause but I am told that she is to young so I was glad to read about the women who is also 35 with the same problems. This message board has been very helpful to a very scared and frustrated mother. Thanks
