How Do I Dress Beautiful Wooden Tables?

We are going to have destination wedding in Bali, and were able to get reputable caterer who offered these beautiful polished wooden tables and chairs. Their standard table settings are literally as in this picture: http://www.balifoods.com/villa/night/image03.jpg

This is where the reception will be: http://theistana.com/images/Pool-and-Ocean_JPG_jpg.jpg

We are wondering how we should dress the table. We are thinking of fishbowl with floating flowers and candles as centerpieces, and we will have paper lanterns. We will have floating candles with fresh flowers in the pool. Tablecloth or no tablecloth, and how big? Or just a small round runner so we can show the wood? What colour (we like skyblue/white or blue/blue combinations)? A round mirror? I am really poor about designing colours, my house look like a poor mismatch! Lol. So, please help.. We can custom order whatever we should have. This is a wedding with only a few round tables, so we are willing to spend a lot on each table. Thanks :)

WOW!. The tables are indeed beautiful and the setting is incredible as well.

How about no table cloth, use white cover chairs and tie a sash in soft beige or brown, you can add elements of the sea? Sea star? or Shells?

I do like the fish bowl idea. Try to make each table unique, after all not all centerpieces have to be the same. I have a picture of a centerpiece that you might like, if you give me your e-mail address I can send you the link to it.

Hi Annette,
Thanks for the suggestions :) I am thinking of maybe using a small round table runner that exposes part of the table. Maybe a light blue one, and then put the fishbowl there, and scatter shells and candles around it.
I`d love to see the centrepiece photo :) Unfortunately, I cannot post my email address here since robots can scrape it and then I will get tons of promotional emails on questionable products ;)
I did find this website useful for ideas: www.theknot.com

No problem, I will try to describe it. The centerpiece is a 5 1/2" x 2 1/4" x 2 1/2" dish, fill it with sand, sea shells and add two votives to it. The light blue runner sounds good. The knot is a great site. Good luck with all your wedding plans.

Thank you, Annette! That does sound beautiful, and I think might go well with the blue runner :) I love the seashells and seastars!
