Black & White Wedding Theme - HELP!!!

No prob Aimee...it`s fun since I`m working on the same concepts!

LOVE the runners! I`m actually a a professional decorative painter, and the handpainted one`s gave me a great idea to order plain and customize myself!

If you don`t have your guest books yet, I found some white one`s with beautiful black detailing that may look nice on your black draped tables.

Hi!

You could use white floor length table cloth with a 54X54 black overlay, with black chair covers. I saw that done and it look sharp.....

Or

You could do one solid black table on solid white and alternate tables

Or

You could have black (or white) table clothes and alternate each chair cover...white then black etc....

If you are going to do a black and white wedding, really put emphasis on the black so it stands out, as decorators often use a lot of white

Hey Laura...if you haven`t already, be sure to read the `related message threads` at the bottom of the page, there are a lot more ideas and websites in there as we have been throwing some great ideas around for a while. Invites, aisle runners, centerpieces, even drink ideas. At least on my computer, those don`t pop up with the more recent...although that could be something I accidentally did. My B & W wedding is in Nov. 06`, so I`ll be glad to share more ideas as I come across them! Have fun

I too am having a black and white wedding, but with subtle accents of pale pink, inspired by our invitations. I too would be interested in seeing the pictures of other peoples` black and white weddings. Just to give me some ideas to bounce off of as mine seem a bit exhausted.

By the way Aimee, about your drinks, I have a few friends that are bartenders and they make these 2 fabulous black and white drinks. Yin & Yang made with Godiva White Chocolate, Stoli Vanil Vodka and Ice Cream topped with chocolate shavings. The other is the Chocolate Martini made with Stoli Vanil Vodka and White Creme de Cacao topped with a White Chocolate Hershey Kiss. They are very yummy!

The gown from David`s Bridal that is black and white is absolutely gorgeous and I`ve also added the black edged veil (there is a flower girl dress to match as well). First i would say pick one of those to use the most at the reception to keep it from making your eyes hurt. An idea would be to have the bridal party in black, table clothes and chair covers black, flowers white, table top decor white, cake white with black accents, if you have black and white dress attire for your guests they will wear more black because who wears white to a wedding, plus this would make you in white stand out. Try to keep everything sleek and stream line

My best friend just got engaged and has decided she wants a black and white wedding. She wants me to help her with ideas,etc but if anyone can pass on any photos, ideas, etc that would be great. ALso, she will be having grown up bridesmaids in black but the little girl who will also be a bridesmaid/flowergirl will need a white dress with black detailing on, any suggestions for this would be great. Hey everyone im doing a black and white theme wedding i thought about using sticks as centerpeices and spraying them and adding fairy lights in the middle for a romantic feel need ideas as i am planning alone not much help as i live away from home

I`m doing a black and white theme for my wedding I found ALOT of great items on ebay!! I found a black aisle runner (100` long) i also found a black flower girl basket/ring bearer pillow/guestbook and lots of other great items!!! They also have white with black accents for all these items!! I also ordered some black shot glasses with white writing for a great deal, figured I could fill them with some candy or osmething!!! !! Many choices on there!!!
