Stepfather/Stepdaughter Wedding Song

That is a wonderfull idea, unfortuneatly it`s not a common thing, so it`s hard to find songs, the only two i know of are "He didn`t have to be" By Brad Paisley, or "When I needed you most" by Kimay Seward

I agree that "He didn`t have to be" is a beautiful song, but I really don`t think that it is appropriate for the situation. It is a song about a man who is becoming a father for the first time and is hoping that he will be the kind of dad his stepdad was. There is no mention of daughters or such in the song. It couldn`t even be interpreted as a song appropriate for a woman to sing. I would suggest something like "It`s a wonderful world" by Louis Armstrong, or "the Wind beneath my wings" by Bette Midler.

Another good song might be Daddy`s Little Girl by Kippi Brannon

At my wedding I am dancing with my stepfather to "Then they do" by Trace Adkins. My father passed away when I was a young girl and was raised by my mother and stepfather. This song seemed to fit. Listen to the words and see if you might be able to use it as well. Hope this helps! Have fun planning!
