My son was also interested in our music...we had a centerpiece person embelish posters ...we had The Who, Beatles, Guns N Roses, etc...she added to the posters and made them 3 dimensional and added sparkles..we had balloon balls attached that gave them height..we also had a lighted sign that read Jakes Music Hall of Fame..his sign in board was a tall airbrush guitar..the room looked great...we had black tablecloths and the balloons and the base of the centerpieces were black silver and gold.
