Re Candle Lighting Alternative For Shabbat

Is there a way to have a candle lighting ceremony on shabbat without actually lighting the candles? If anyone has a good idea please respond. I need help my daughters bat-mitzvah is in two months.

We are in the same position. I am thinking about having a large jigsaw puzzle with our daughter`s picture on it and place it on an easel. My worry is that my in-laws are not the smartest people and would not know where to put their piece.

We had the same issue, and we used Israeli flags in place of candles. It gave the honoree something to put into the cake and it looked beautiful with 13 flags.
