Wedding Announcements?
Is there such a thing as a wedding announcement, that can be sent to people you would like to invite but cannot, so you just send them an announcement?

Yes, it is a very simple announcement primarily saying "Bride and Groom" were united in marriage on "day" and "date" and "place". If the parents hosted you would put "Mr. & Mrs. Parents" are happy to announce the marriage of their daughter...etc." The preferred method is to send these announcements out after the wedding. But you can send out to non-guests beforehand and change the wording to "will be married on (date) at (place)". But sometimes this causes a little confusion as non-guests tend to mistake it for an actual invitation.
