Your out of luck if you cant afford the one you want. Its also the week of your wedding? Thats not the greatest planning, you should have given up on the original cake idea and went with something else 2 months ago. Start baking like he first post said.

Have a wedding cupcake tree... They`re becoming very poplular, easier to handle and less expensive. Also fits the bill as something different. Order cupcakes from a bakery. Ask if they`ll use the silver cupcake liners to dress it up a bit. Have a simple icing rose put on the top of each cupcake. A traditional tiered wedding cake stand can be used to display them. You can also make one quickly and easily buy stacking plastic trays in graduated sizes...the type you buy in party stores. Between each level turn three hard plastic champaign flutes upside down in the center of each tray as a support system. Build your tower to three levels. You could even place some silk flowers inside the flutes before hot gluing them top and bottom to the trays. You can always keep additional cupcakes behind the scenes if this doesn`t allow enough space and have someone refill the display as needed. Most bakeries should be able to produce simple cupcakes with a rose on top with little notice. I`d figure 1.5 cupcakes per person.
