What about hues of red. You can use ponsettias as decorations.

Hi,
I am also getting married in january, on the 21st of January 2006 to be exact. I was having the same trouble trying to figure out what to choose for a theme...
I swear i was having panic attacks! :) Thank GOd they went away and I cleared my mind and pictured the reception hall...I noted all the warm colours so I tried to enhance the beauty of the reception hall, so I decided to go with a warm honey & a touch gold theme. My centerpieces will have creamy coloured flowers with a beautiful pale gold satin sash like ribbon around the vases. My bride maids are wearing brown silk dresses with pale blue accents. So everything is very warm and champagne-like :) It was tough to decide so I understand your dilemma!!! Good luck & congratulations!! :)

Hi there!im still having trouble with my color motif on January. Some of my friends advised me to go with the shades of blue since it will be the color of the year maybe for 2006 but i told them i have to avoid the shades of blue. They advised me to match colors like shades of apple green matched with aqua blue. Will that be fine? or i still have to look for some color to go with the blue color. Thanks.

OMG...I too am getting married on January 21, 2006. I found beautiful blue bridesmaids dresses at JC Penny for $60 down from $100. Blue was not my first choice, but for the price. All my girls were happy, but I am having a problem with my theme as well.

My wedding is January 14, 2006 but supposed to be Dec 3. I have chosen cranberry and silver for when it was going to be in December. The dresses are purchased already. How do you think those colors will go for a January wedding? Thanks

I am going with an Asian inspired theme. The look is simple and elegant. I am not sure how many guests you plan to invite but I chose to only have 35. My vision is to keep it simple.

Hope this helps!

Dear January Brides,
Please consider this opportunity.

Getting Married in January? Are you both 18 – 21?
A New MTV Documentary Wants to Feature You!

MTV New York is casting a new documentary series that features a young couple (between the ages of 18 - 22) in the process of getting married. Each individual couple chosen will be the center of a half-hour show that takes us through their planning, their actual wedding and beyond. In addition to sharing how you met, how he proposed and what your dress will look like, we also want to explore the issue of age and marriage...does it matter or not? What do your family and friends think? What does your future hold? How will your life change once you are married? What do you look forward to with your future spouse?

This is a documentary, so we assure you that no "reality spin" will be involved during the taping. However, you must be willing to let cameras into your life in order for us to capture your entire wedding experience! Just think, all of the once in a lifetime moments you`ll share will be captured on tape for you to view over and over!

If you are interested in being a part of this project, please send us your story. We`d love to know how you met, your proposal story, when you plan on getting married and any other interesting information about you and/or your wedding. Also be sure to include your name, age, address, your phone number, email address and a digital photo of you and your fiance if possible. Please send all this in an email to: Stephanie Gholam, Casting Director - Stephanie@Gholamproductions.com.

Hi, a winter wonderland theme would be beautiful. You can purchase snowflake decorations for cheap if you take advantage of the after Christmas sales (stores are trying to get rid of Christmas decor so hurry!) As for a color, I would recommend blue but you mentioned you want to stay away from that color.... What about an icy lavender?
