I HAVE IDEAS

What colors should I have for my Quinceanera. It is going to be in January and I wanted a baby blue one but people tell me I should get dark colors. They say that baby blue is for another time of the month.

You should get a dark color because it is probably going to be raining and the dama`s dresses will get wet and get dirty on the bottom and if it`s a light color it will look bad. If it`s a dark one, the dirtyness won`t show as much. Also, since it`s going to be dark, a darker color shows up more and a light one will be harder to see. Nice dark Quinceanera colors are dark red, blue, burgundy, and hunter.

This is something I always wanted to know. How many damas and chambelanes should I have? Many people say 14 of each, other say 7 couples, I don`t know so can you tell me wich is the right one?

The tradition is 14 chambelanes but later, girls wanted to be in it too so they added them. 14 couples is too much and harder to handle. Now they use 7 damas and 7 chambelanes so with you it`s 15 ( the main chambelan is only used to dance)

Well, you could go to the dollar store and buy some nice, small fish bowls. Also, buy some floating candles white and the color of your dress..and fill it up with water. If you want it a little bit more decorated, put white (and your dresses color) flowers on the borrom all around the fish bowl. If you don`t like the ideas of water and candles (becaus the children may want to touch the fire), just put a long, fat candle in the middle. You don`t have to light it...if that`s too expensive...get a small circle of styrofoam..put a medium sized, fat candle in the middle and get a white ribbon and one the color of your dress and start from the top of the candle and roll it down until you reach the bottom. Then on the bottom put flowers all around it.Hope that helped.

Yes hello my name is ashley i am having my quinceanera in october and i was wondering if u can help me with knowing about the padrinos, and can you plz help me with recuerdos, i wanna do somthing with like the little plastic wine glass thingz, oh yeah and i need to know what should i give my damas and chambeleans? when i was in a quinceanera she gave us a teddy bear!! well thank you, if any of you guys have ideas plz e-mail me cuz i dont get on here often. Could u please give me ideas on centerpieces and decorations for the hall and church. My colors are navy and white and Im gonna add silver and black for the decorations. Someone suggested a celestial theme (ya know w/ stars and a moon).

Well, some nice and simple centerpieces are the fallowing....
1. You could buy some flat styrofoam circles( they look like plates), nice glass dolls or plastic ( your choice and kind of big), and artificial flowers.
You glue the doll in the middle of the styrofoam and hot glue flowers all around the styrofoam circle. In case your confused, the styrofoam circle should look like like a plate ( you know what I mean?) you could personalize it by tying a ribbon with your name and event date in the doll. You could also add sprinkles. The flowers should be the color of your damas dresses to make everything blend in more nicely.

My Quinceanera is in April of 2005...yeah I know its to years but thats how long it will take to plan this. Well anyways I was really wondering on what kind of gifts I would give my dama`s. I heard that you give them some kind of little charm or something, but if so, what kind of charm, one with a 15 on it or something?
I was also wondering on ideas about recuerdos. Right now I only have some of those foam center pieces done.The one thing I was thinking of was getting a little bag and putting a cross and ...well I dont know what else...anyone have any ideas? I was thinking maybe I could put in a little personal touch.....I could put in some celestial little trinket or something and my sister(we are having it together) could put in a fairy because its her favorite. Anyone please respond to my need for ideas for recuerdos it would help out a lot!!! PLEASE!
