My Fiancee Cancelled Our Wedding

I have been with my partner for almost three years. I asked him to marry me a year ago. We are now 8 weeks out from the wedding. Two weeks ago after a stupid fight, he told me he didnt love me enough to marry me and then asked me to leave.

We have been living in his country for the past year and a half. In the past 10 days I have left my jobs, packed up most of my stuff and moved back to my own country. At the moment I am sleeping on a bunk bed at 33 years of age in my mothers house.

My partner says he still loves me and just wants time apart but how do I believe that? We have had a very difficult time over the last year and a half. I didnt like the place where we were living, his parents were very emotionally detached, I suffer from severe PMT and Endometriosis and we have his ex wife always threatening legal action.

We still seem to love each other so much yet he doesnt want me to be with him. He is saying we should give it up to 6 months apart and see what happens. He is also saying he wants to come and visit me in a few weeks but I just dont know.

I have been to see a counsellor once, cry almost every night and dont like talking to people. The worst thing is I am back in my small hometown where I was supposed to be married in 8 weeks.
