50th Birthday

I am looking for a 50th birthday gift idea for my dad. I thought about a photo album or quilt that resembles his past 50 years, but what would he do with them afterwards? Can anyone help me?

One idea would be to take him on a trip to somewhere he has never been before. Or is there something he`s been wanting to do, but hasn`t yet? Like camping, hiking, bungee jumping, white water rafting, etc. You and your family could go in together and purchase him an adventure trip. This would be something he would remember for the rest of his life and he would be thankful for having the opportunity to do it.
