Wedding/Reception Site Needed
My son and his fiancee are looking for a place ,outside, where they can have wedding and reception and use their own caterer.They want informal location where his fiancee`s uncle can do a traditional Mexican bar-b-que.There will be about 225 guests and will be next June.
Have called Calimigos Ranch--was more than their budget allows.We live in San Fernando Valley-west--she lives in Sylmar--willing to travel a little. Any help appreciated.

I`ve done some research, but wasn`t into the all outside wedding. However I know of 2 places in my area that are outside and may or maynot allow caterers.
Rancho de las Flores: Moorpark
Orcutt Ranch: Valley somewhere
Somis also has an outdoor location.

I was recently married (August) and I was really considering the Los Angeles River Center and Gardens. It is located where the old Lawrys used to be, where the 5 and 110 freeways split near Dodger Stadium. They have a rental fee between $2000 and $3000 but you bring all of your own vendors, including caterer and alcohol. It is absolutely beautiful and you have the entire facility to yourself for 24 hours. They have two beautiful outside areas (I was going to use one area for the ceremony and the larger area for the reception). It is gorgeous and definitely worth looking into!

Thanks to all that messaged me--we have chosen Middle Ranch for the wedding in Lakeview Terrace. I will post how it goes for others who might be interested.

Marisol---I have to tell you---partypop never deleted my message---my son got married LAST June--lol--we used the Middle Ranch in Little Tujunga--right off Foothill--right near you--and it was WONDERFUL--give it a check!

What about a country club? They usually have indoor/outdoor facilities for parties, weddings, etc.
