Belated Wedding Reception

How do I word a reception invitation only. I will be getting married a week before ,and when I come back I would like to invite most of my friends to a dinner reception. Please help.

I have received a couple of invitations to a reception like you are having. Both were printed on wedding staitionery one began, "the prents of ....invite you to celebrate the wedding of Mr. And Mrs...." the other, "please join us in dinner in dancing to celebrate the wedding of..." both were formal occassions and great fun. The more formal the invite, the more formal people will assume the event is. As i am knee deep in ceremony plannning now, i think you have the right idea!
