Second Time Around

My financee and I are both in our 40`s and we are beginning to plan our wedding for next year Feb. 05 This will also be the second marriage for the both of us. We are needing suggestions and/or help for deciding what would be appropriate when deciding a second time around wedding. "Not really wanting all of the whistle and bells" this go round but wanting something that will be sentimental for us with out the high cost.
We are combining two households into one, with that we are not needing a parade of wedding presents.

Desperately seeking "SOUND" advice w/ experince.

Why not have a small wedding with only close family members (children from previous marriage and your parents)invited. You can then have a reception that will include close friends and of course those invited to the wedding. You don`t need to have wedding favors but maybe a Thank you scroll place at each seating with a personal message from you and your FH.
