My next shot is due in august. I will not be going to get another one. I have been on the shot since feb of 2004. I should of gotten off of it earlier, but i didnt have a period, ever. It is very effective. The side effects have gotten worse, as time has went on. There has been major weight gain, my face stays broken out, very moody and mean. The one that was very suprising is panic attacks. Last year i went to the hospital thinking i was having a heart attack, and im on 28. I have started having them again, so i am totally comming off of the depo. My life has been an up hill battle, as far as personal struggles. My friend had a good point she says its like its putting me through early menopause. The night sweats, nightmares, hot flashes, aches and pains in my feet, and legs. Also the panic attacks, very moody and hormonale. This shot will not allow you to become pregnant, but it is not good for a womens body, or way of life. I still do not know what this has done to my ability to have another child one day. Do not take deop.
