Guests Paying For The Wedding...
Hi, I will be getting married soon but already live with the wife to be and have all the toasters I need. However, we are really short on cash. Would it be bad form to create a wedding list that contains the items needed for the wedding? For example, rather than a toaster and set of wine glasses, it would have things like the invitations, the cake, contributions to the venue etc

Yes I would say it is in bad taste. However in certain cultures it is actually expected that the bride and grooms family, aunts and uncles, pay for items for the wedding day. It is considered a normal thing to do. I would say if your unsure then talk to a few people in your family that you trust to give you their honest opinion. If they are willing to help out then why not? Only you know how your family will react to it though. I would say if it is a smaller wedding, something more casual and simple then do it.
