I Need Help!!!
I am vice president of my class, and I am in charge (along with the president) of planning prom. We have this huge room out at a local college for the dance area... And it would be great except for the fact that it is 40 feet tall, and our decorations can`t be taller than 12 feet. This is our last prom before we move to a new school, and everyone wants it to be special... But no matter what we use to decorate, the room is going to look empty... Does anyone have ideas? Oh yeah, and we have about a 1500 dollar budget.

Indoor tents and ceiling treatments would help. Check out www.billreed.com for more ideas. They have done decorations for countless proms.

Is there a theme you need to work around or are you to just make a beautiful room? Is your space provided with silk trees which you could enhance with inexpensive strings of twinkle lights? If not, you may be able to rent some. What about renting 10-12 foot columns or pillars from a wedding decor shop or theater company? You could swag tulle between the columns (ex. Have three columns in each corner of the space and swag tulle in between them).
