Help! 18th Bday, My Debut!

Please help me. I live in the Miami, Fl area and I`m planning a debut. I`ve never been to one, so I am starting from scratch. Can anyone please give me advice on how to host this type of birthday party?? Like i get the jist of the 18 candles and 18 roses, but is there more to it? And if anyone in the area knows where I can rent a dress... Like similar to a quince or debutante dress. Thanks.. Your help will be appreciated.
