Creative Alternative To Candlelighting ?

Has anyone done or seen or thought about a creative alternative to the traditional candlelighting ceremony ? we are breaking with tradition and having the ceremony before the meal and want to use it as a means to bring the adults and kids together - we are having the saturday evening party at a ranch !
