Depro Provera Shot

Hello, I *thought* I had posted my last post on THIS board, but I guess it was another one...anyways...I posted my expierance using the Depro shot once before but now I have a whole new story to tell. Let me go over my first post a little so you will know what all has been going on with me. On Feb. 1st I had my first and ONLY shot, March 1st I started bleeding NON stop. I bled so much that I was passing clots, and having to sit on towels due to so much blood. I bled so much that a few weeks ago I had to be rushed to the ER. There, I found out that I was dehydrated, and severly anemic... So bad that I had to have 4 pints of blood (having a blood transfusion is SOOO scary during these days and times). My blood count is usually 48, well that night it was 6. The ER doctor told my husband and I that if I had NOT come into the ER that night, I would have had a massive heart attack and died before morning. ALL because of the shot. Ok, that`s not all... 2 weeks ago I had to have a D&C, and a partial histerectomy because of the shot. Before my surgery, nothing the doctors tried would stop the bleeding. I bled for over 90 days. So bad that I couldn`t go anywhere, the blood would run down my legs if I stood up. I`d sneeze and it would gush out through my clothes (I was wearing a tampon AND pad, but nothing kept it from gushing.) I am 33 years old, and am unable to have anymore children due to THE SHOT. I strongly suggest to those considering the shot to look elsewhere for other options. I see where some people say..."did you not read the info or didn`t your doctor explain what could happen?"....well, I`m telling everyone NO, no one told me it was dangerous or could cause excessive bleeding. I asked my doctor RIGHT before she gave me the shot, if there were any side effects??and she said NO there`s nothing to worry about. (There was no info in the box my shot came out of... I trusted my doctor to tell me the truth.) BOY, do I wish I`d come across this site before I took that one shot that changed my entire life forever. I think that shot should be banned and taken off the market before others have it harm them like it did me.
