I have collections of gowns that are size or sligtly biger. When do you required the gown? Unfortunately, I do not have a scanner to e-mail the pictures. If you have not found any, I am willing to mail to you.

I had gone to David`s Bridal in Norridge Illinois. I urge you never to go there. I did not only have 1 bad expierence but 3. I walked in the store all excited, then I found the perfect wedding dress, Only problem, they did not have it in y size. The alteration dept suggested that I get a larger size and they could alter it down. So I ended up getting a size 20, and I an a size 12. It was a v-neck off the shoulder, ballgown style. I took it in to be altered a few days after I bought it, they charged me $150.00 to fix the shoulders(that were so puffy, that I looked like a football player), the bust, and the stomach area. They did a shitty job on the whole thing. The abdomen area was not cut, instead they bundled it up and sewed it into the inside lining of my dress. So this made me look even more chubbier that I was. So I tried to take it back about 2 days after the alteration, they told me that since I already paid for the dress and signed for it then they couldn`t do anything for me. At that point I had asked to speak with the atore manager, she was a bitch to me, she told me to step out of line because their were customers behind me. Now, she might have done this because I am young, but what the fuck, I was a paying customer too. Then I went on a rampage, I contacted the District manager, Norma Ersin, and she was nice, she told me to take it back to the store and they would fix the shoulders at no cost. I went back and another lady (a short Italian ladt with blonde hair and glasses) helped me. She pinned it and in 4 weeks I was ready to pick it up again. I picked it up on August 6 2002. And as I was trying my dress on I heard the ladt talking to the other seamstress, then they started speaking in Italian, and My last name is PAVONE, how more Italian can my last name be? They started talking shit about me, right there in the store. She said that just because I came in and complained, that I got the alteration for free(well if they didn`t fuck up to begin with it would be fine), and that I was a liar, and she thought that I didn`t even get it altered there in the first place, and that someone else messed it up and they had to fix it now for free. She kept going on and on saying that I was a liar, and how pissed she was. I was so PISSED, and she kept telling me that I better not come back again because it is all fixed and there are not more problems and she made me sign a paper saying that. Later that evening my husband called the store because I am kind of shy, and again that store manager said she would handle it and call me back before the end of the day. But she never did. I was so insulted, and cann`t believe that talk like that when the customers are still there. The sould have had the common sense to know that my last name is Italian and not to speak it there. What assholes. I want all my money back for the alterations!!! Don`t ever go there, they will make you go broke and insult you at thesame time. Go somewhere where they are nice, and appreciate your business

I TOTALLY UNDERSTAND ABOUT DAVID`S BRIDAL!! I got married almost 2 yrs ago. I went thru David`s. BIG mistake. I went in there on 3 separate occasions: the first was to find my dress. The second was to find my bridesmaids dresses. The third was to go over everything. All 3 times they couldn`t find my paperwork so I had to fill out the same forms every time. Then when I wanted to talk to someone about alterations, I was stuck with someone who could hardly speak English. They wanted an arm/leg to do the alterations. I couldn`t afford that. Then about 6 months after our wedding, my brother-in-law was married. I was the bride`s personal attendant. She dealt with the same stuff. Lost paperwork. She decided to go thru them for alterations. BIG mistake. They screwed up 3 times and the end result? The dress didn`t look like it was supposed to. It was supposed to be like a tank but ended up being an off of the shoulder dress. I`m from MN and it looks like David`s Bridal has problems in every state. Hope it all turned out :o(

I totally agree about David`s Bridal. I would never suggest for anyone to go there. When I went I was on a 15 minute time limit. Like you can really find your dress in 15 minutes and then the worst part was that I had to try them on in a room that was like 4 * 4 and the lady helping me had to fit in the room with me. It was like a miniature closet! I wouldn`t ever go back!

We should all get together and start a web site to bash them. Do you believe that I have to get the BBB involved. I want others to know about them, but not sure how. They are all about making the money, and I still am pissed

Post it at complaints.com. I bought my dress there ONLY to save a few dollars. The customer service is horrible, and others should be aware of what they are getting into with that store.

I have to agree...don`t ever go to David`s Bridal. I went there to get my dress because I had seen so many different advertisements in the bridal mags for them. I ordered my dress in a size 12. It came in 3 weeks later (no rush was put on it) in the wrong size so I had to put in a reorder. I asked them to Rush it because my wedding was two months away and the dress needed some alterations. They told me that it would come in about a 10 days with a Rush order. Three weeks, four weeks, five weeks passed with me calling each week to find out where it was. Each time I spoke with a manager and told them that it was on Rush order. No one knew anything about it and kept giving me the same story of "I`m sorry but it`s still not here...". Finally, 6 weeks later it came in the correct size...but only left me with two weeks to get my dress altered. Talk about being stressed out! When I picked up the dress, I demanded to see all the paperwork. I found out that my dress was out of stock so they had been trying for 6 weeks to find another one in my size. They also wrote the wrong wedding date on my order which was much later than MY wedding date. So the manufacters thought they had plenty of time to get the dress in...which is why it was never on Rush order in the first place. None of the managers told me a thing! David`s Bridal may have a lot of beautiful gowns at low prices but they are very sloppy in their customer service. The alterations are outrageously expensive and the seamstresses don`t know what they are doing. Unless you want a lot of stress and additional headaches, DO NOT go to Davids`s Bridal!

I had a terrible experince too at 2 David`s Bridals. Each time I went, I was bombarded at the front door and forced to fill out some stupid papers before I could even "look around". I made it clear that I was not going to try anythign on, just look around. They were so nasty to me becuase I refused to fill any paper work out. The next time I went to a different David`s Bridal and this time, they were so busy that I ended up geting my own dresses to try on and as I was going to get undressed, I realized I needed a bra so I wnet and told the people at the desk. They were furious that I had got my own dresses out and not had soemone help me. They refused to give me any bra until someone could help me. I would have to leave my name on a list and wait..I got so fed up and left!!I would like to complain, is there anyone who knows of an email address so I can write a complaint?? Please email me thanks...
