Hello,
You do not need either a bachelor`s or masters to become a wedding planner, in fact, I don`t think anyone offers either. There are a variety of courses available depending where you are located. I posted earlier about one that will be beginning in the San Francisco area in August. If you type "wedding planning courses" into Google you`ll get more information than you may want to have. Check to see who is teaching and the experience they have before you spend your money. Post a message here if you want more information about the class near San Francisco.

Beth,
There are a variety of courses being offered for planners. Be aware of who is teaching them and the experience they bring before you enroll. If you type "wedding planning courses" into Google, you`ll get more information about courses than you probably want. If you live near San Francisco, there is a course beginning in early August that is taught by professionals that have been in the industry for many years and very successfully, not inexpensive or an easy course to take, they are fairly demanding in the work but well worth your time. Good luck, this is a wonderful industry but very demanding. Post a message here if you`d like more information about the course near San Francisco.
