Hi girls.
I was on the badget and wanted only a mantilla veil. I was looking for my mantilla veil in ivory (more difficult to find), even on this site for a while and had no great results.
Eather they were crazy expensive, way too long, or just not delicate enough for my taste and my gown.
So I went to the bridal store, took a good look at one mantilla veil that they had for $700!!!!!! and asked myself - CAN I MAKE IT MYSELF? I decided to try. Found big fabric store in my city, brought a piece of the fabric of my gown along and asked for some help. I wanted my veil to be round and just to reach my bum.
Bought some tulle ($5 total), BEAUTIFUL delicate French lace (5m - $40 total), some pearls ($4 a bag), needle for beeding ($1), transparent tread ($1) and a comb (99c). Total of $47!!!!!!!!!!
I cut a circle of tulle (folded it in four and made a round cut at the edges), attached my lace, pearls and steamed it when I was finished.
It was fun as well to be able to make something myself for my wedding.
It came out GORGEOUS!!!!! It was so easy!
After I brought my homemade mantilla along to my bridal shop for my last fitting of the dress. Let me tell you, they freaked over it!
I do not sew and IF I CAN DO IT - ANYONE CAN DO IT!
They know we will pay the prices they are asking because we are getting married and stuck needing these veils.
Well, I chose to do it that way and very happy with my choice.
Just wanted to share this with you all.
Good luck

I have been a seamstress for over 25 years. I have sold many mantilla veils on Ebay. My veils are very similar to oleg Cassini type mantilla veil. I offer a money back guarantee with my veils. Many seller’s on Ebay do not offer a money back guarantee, but I do. I have also sold my veils in bridal shops.

The starting bid on my veils is around $40.00 plus $6.50 shipping. With a buy it now price of around $75.00. Now, you can buy a veil below the price that it would cost for you to make one.

I will be taking a vacation over the holidays. After the 1st of the year, I will be busy with tax time paperwork, so I will not be listing any of these veils until about mid-end of January. Check Ebay around the end of January, I should have some made and up for auction by then.

Veil is now listed on Ebay. (I will be listing more veils, such/similar as pictured above.) I list my auctions once or twice a week. Different items weekly. You can go to my Ebay Seller`s page at;

If you are not a memeber of Ebay.com you will need to register. You will also want to register with paypal.com to make paypal payments. Although I do accept money orders.
