Hello, I remember I had that same problem. Then I started calling places that will do decorations for you but they are so high in price. I decided to do my own. (My reception is next summer)I went to a Hobby Lobby (in ATL.)and bought enough clay/flower pots for the tables. I painted half of them white and the other half purple(wedding colors) I then got some glitter glue (Hobby Lobby)and made the seating chart. On the pot it either said BRIDES FAMILY or GROOMS FAMILY. (I wanted guests to sit by whoever they wanted. Then I went online and purchased the flowers. Right now they have a special. If your order is over $100 then shipping and handling is free. I am no wedding coordinator or interior decorator but hearing all the amounts of money for my wedding I decided to get creative. After the reception the guests can take them home. It can be a centerpiece for one person at the table. So with this idea I`ll cover the centerpiece, place cards, and a few favors. Best of all when they take them home it`s less for my family to have to clean up! Good luck I hope gives you a few ideas.
P.S. I don`t know ANYONE who`s done this. As far as I know I made it up. So use this idea if you like it because it bets the traditional glass vases and the pretty little cardboard place cards everyone does. Have fun with it...I did!
