Plastic Utensils
I don`t have the money to use real silverware for our wedding. We`re having a buffet style reception in September.
I`m wondering a way to spruce up the plastic silverware! I`ve tried wrapping the knife in the napkin and putting the fork on the outside with a piece of paper holding it all together (Martha Stewar inspired), but this looked much better with real napkins and silverware!
Any ideas on how to spruce up the plastic stuff? (My friend is the caterer and she said that we should have it some way so that people can`t touch other people`s sliveware... As this is unsanitary, etc. In other words, shouldn`t have it just piled together for people to reach in and grab their stuff! Ha.)

Put a couple of Hershey`s kisses on the spoon and leave the knife & fork separate. Wrap the spoon with net, tie with a bow and a message that reads " A spoon full of kisses for the new Mr. & Mrs." We have plastic silverware in all colors.

Abolutely seperate the eating ware. You can get those little napkin holder wrap things online here I bet, or make some, just be sure they don`t look cheesy

Dear Amanda,
Our site www.cateringsupplies.com carries very heavy disposable plastic cutlery .
Industrial or Lady Diane would serve you well wrapped in either a 3ply dinner napkin or a Dunilin napkin( it mimics cloth) Tie it with the most luxurious 12"s of ribbon or tulle that you can afford matching the color story of your wedding. Wrapped this way it will look very pretty and also be sanitary. Put the knife down first ,then the fork and lastly the spoon. Don`t forget you will need to provide additional forks for cake( they need not be the Industrial strenth), and those can be served with the slice of cake and a fresh napkin either beverage size to save a little money or luncheon size (2ply will do). Oh and I bet all the ladies will take that piece of ribbon home ! Let me know if you need any additional suggestions at janycegranoff@hotmail.com.
P.S. Don`t forget to buy a small bakery box to freeze your wedding cake top in. You can buy those at www.cateringsupplies.com too!

Get the clear silverware-classier.
Get the really good paper napkins, & wrap the ware up in them & then, tie a narrow ribbon the colors of your wedding & make a little bow. Put it either in the middle of each plate or in a container at the buffet.

I have just seen the most beautiful silver ( real looking silver, not grey) plastic ware. I hear it was availbale in Oregon but I am researching where I can get it online. The wrap them in napkins with a ribbon and set them in a basket for your guests to grab on thier way thru the line.
