Help Planning Hippy Wedding

I am the wedding planner for my friends outdoor Christan hippy wedding. They are on a very tight budget. I would appreciate any tips. The wedding is in Kansas City. I am especially interested on where to get wildflowers in August. Tent rates. Horse and Buggy rates. Indian food recipies for the reception (we have a friend doing the catering). Any other tips relating to anything with the wedding. Thank you.

I also want to reflect the hippy-ish side of my personality in wedding. Planning on a wreath for my hair (hair down)with either dried flowers or flowers and fall leaves combination for fall-time wedding.

Consider the soundtrack as well. I plan to incorporate as much of our favorite music (dead, CSNY, DMB, indigo girls, etc.) as possible, but still include some pop and older tunes for the various aged guests to enjoy.

We are probably giving CD`s with our favorite music as guest-gifts. Or maybe donation to rainforest, Rex foundation, etc. (Rex is much supported by grateful dead -goes to many different charities)

Also just attempting to have ceremony outside gives you that closer-to-nature feeling. Maybe ask guests to hold hands at some point during ceremony. Ask mom & dad to do brief readings of some cherished poetry or lyrics, in addition to any regular christian readings if you are doing that sort of thing.

I have been looking for invitations that reflect a hippy charm, but only have found TOO-very-bright tye-dye invites & thankyou`s. I`m still on the lookout, but will probably just go with the fall-nature theme.

I am still looking for more ideas to incorporate my hippy tendancies. Would love to find cake topper that looks like a little "dancing bear" bride & groom.
More Ideas Welcome!!!

I recently made a dancing bears cake topper for friends out of Sculpy. It`s not too difficult. Just take it one step at a time. I used fabric scrapbook adornments to put a veil and bouquet on bride and fashioned a top hat out of sculpy for the groom. It was cute and colorful. A bit time consuming, but you can do it!
