I would like to send casual save the date POSTCARDS but only seem to find invitations with envelopes. Do you know of anywhere that may sell these?? blank or printed. Thanks.

Go to the post office an buy the blank cards with the stamp already on them. It is 1 cent more per preprinted card than a post card stamp. Run the cards thru your printer to print out the info, add some clip art & you are set. Check out our sites. Www.jmartpartysupplies.com www.birthdayshack.com/juli

I used Illustrator to design my postcards (and then converted the files to pdf), then I printed them out (first one side then the other - so two sided) in color (although I only used black and blue) on white cardstock.

Or you could do something similar, just by finding two styles of paper that you like (maybe a floral for one side and a white for the other) printing your information on the white one, and then ... Using adhesive spray to combine the two. Then all you have to do is cut them out individually. I was able to fit two 4.5"x6.5" cards per 8.5"x11" piece of paper.

Just keep in mind that there are certain requirements for mailing. The bottom 1/8th inch of the postcard on the "mailing" side should be left blank (no graphics, etc.) so the post office can route them. Or, I`ve heard you can ask to have them "hand cancelled" which means your postcards (or invites for that matter) would be cancelled by hand rather than by machine. But I haven`t investigated this yet... Although it`s probably what I want to do!

I wanted something unique about my save the dates...I found some cute magnets on the now-and-forever website. The magnet is a small calendar with your names on it, and the date of your wedding circled...thought it was pretty cute. I think they also have regular, card-styles as well. Also, do a search of "unique wedding invitations" and it will bring up some good sites. Hope that helps!

My daughter and fiance designed their own cards on the computer and printed them on magnetic paper (4 per 8-1/2" x 11" paper, slick finish, not matte) and then bought envelopes. The guests loved them and put them right on their refrigerators. When mailing them, don`t drop them into a metal mail box (cause some will stick to the side of the box). Mama M
