DAVID`S BRIDAL
IM A NEW BRIDE AS OF OCTOBER 2ND 2004 I PURCHASED MY WHOLE BRIDAL OUTFIT FROM DAVID`S BRIDAL IN ERIE PA, OF LAST YEAR AND ALMOST SPENT 1,000$ ON MYSELF WHATEVER, IT WAS WORTH IT, BUT FOR A BIG NAME BRIDAL STORE, TALK ABOUT NOT HAVING EVERYONE`S SIZE OR EVEN COLOR FOR THAT MATTER WHY IS THAT!!! THIS IS A DISGRACE I HAD TO TRY ON SO MANY GOWNS, THAT THEY DIDNT HAVE IN MY SIZE FIRST OFF SO I FELT "FAT" AND EMBARRASSED FOR THAT MATTER
ANYWAYS SO I WENT WITH IT, AND SPENT MONEY, NOW MY MOTHER IS A LARGE WOMEN GOD FORBID THEY WOULD HAE HER SIZE THERE.... YEP YOUR RIGHT THEY DIDNT... BUT IF THEY DIIDNT HAVE MY SIZE, WHY WOULD THEY HAVE A WOMEN`S PLUS SIZE THERE!!! TO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT, TODAY WHICH IS MAY 15TH 2005 MY BEST FRIEND IS GETTING MARRIED IN SEPT OF THIS YEAR? WE WENT TO DAVID`S BRIDAL IN HAMBURG, WELL HERE WE GO AGAIN THEY DIDNT HAVE MANY STYLES FOR HER TO CHOOSE FROM SINCE SHE`S GETTING MARRIED IN SEPT TO ORDER HER SOMETHING IT WOULDNT BE HERE ON TIME, WHATEVER THEY SHOULD DO EVERYTHING POSSIBLE TO ENSURE SHE GETS WHAT SHE WANTS. WELL SHE FIND A GOWN AND SHE`S HAPPY WITH IT, AS FAR AS MYSELF, IM HER MAID OF HONOR, I HAD ONE RACK TO CHOOSE FROM SINCE THE COLOR SHE WANTED THAT WAS THE ONLY RACK TO CHOOSE FROM THAT`S DUMB TOO, SO I WAS READY TO PAY FOR THE GOWN I PICKED OUT AND THE "LADY SAID WE CANT ACCEPT YOUR CHECK UNLESS THE CHECK NUMBER IS ABOVE 300... I WAS LIKE WHAT DID YOU SAY SHE SAYS IT`S THE COMPANY YOUR CHECK HAS TO START ABOVE 300 . MY CHECK NUMBER WAS 192 AND THEY WOULDNT TAKE IT FROM ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SHE SAID IT NEEDS TO BE ABOVE A 300 FOR SOME REASON THE COMPANY THINKS ANYTHING LOWER THAN THAT ARE STARTER CHECKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IS THIS THE MOSST OUTRAGEOUS THING YOU EVERY HEARD OR WHAT I WAS SO MAD THAT THE BRIDE HAD TO PUT MY DRESS ON HER BILL AND I HAD TO WRITE HER A PERSONAL CHECK FOR THE AMOUNT.... SO IF YOU PLAN ON GOING THERE, TO BUT A GOWN MAKE SURE YOUR CHECK NUMBER IS ABOVE 300 ACTUALLY DONT GO THEIR AT ALL,SHOP SOME WHERE ELSE.... IM SURE THIS COMPANY IS A MILLION DOLLAR STORE, WHY? IM NOT SURE, THEY DONT HAVE RIGHT COLOR`S, SIZES, SYLES, PLUS SIZES, NOT A VERY GOOD SELECTION EITHER, AND THEY ARE THERE TO MAKE A BUCK SO WATCH OUT.....

First off, as an employee of davids i apologize that you were offended that not all of the dresses were in the store in your size to try on, but that happens where ever you go and no matter what size you are. Most of the time we need anywhere from 6 to 15 weeks to order a gown and that may have been the issue with your friend. Unfortunatly our company is not set up to put a rush on an order if the customer requests, just as a small expensive bridal salon couldn`t either. When i was a bride i shopped both david`s and bridal salons and i wasn`t impressed with the salon`s. What i like about david`s is that we back our merchandise and our focus is serving the bride. I know that i love my job and being able to be a part of peoples weddings and it hurts that brides get so angry at us all of the time. We are just as human as you are and we deal with a lot of different brides and events every day. As for your check issue, its a nation wide thing with davids bridal. If you write a check and the sequence # is under 300 and it bounces our insurance company doesn`t cover it. Just like some places don`t accept certain credit cards, we don`t accept checks under a certain number. It`s not a discrimination thing, it`s a precautionary tactic that pour insurrance company requires us to take and though not the most convenient thing in the world, we don`t argue when we go somewhere and they don`t take debit cards or american express right? again i apologize that you were embarrassed because of the dress sizes, but please don`t feel that davids was directly at fault. I myself have had to put as little as a size 6 on someone trying on women sizes especially in our oleg cassini gowns because certain dresses we only carry specific sizes in the store and the rest you`d have to order. Best of luck and happiness on your wedding and I hope all else goes smoothly, and remember, planning a wedding is not easy so don`t sweat the little things.
