Cash Gift

What is the appropriate cash amount to give a friend for her wedding. She asked me to give cash--no gifts. There is a dinner at a restuarant in the Bronx (about 30 people) and then a BBQ on Saturday (230 ppl). The bride asked me to help set up the BBQ on Sat. I`m not bringing a guest. I`m thinking $100.00??? Too cheap???
