Definitely something off her registry- after all, if she registered for these items, she wants them.

I disagree, the couple registered together, so its not really a personal gift. I`d go for something more intimate than something from the registry, like perfume, bubble bath, or even something fun like a stuffed animal dressed in wedding attire. Buying gifts for a shower and for the wedding, can get very expensive. I`d spend just a little at the shower and buy the "real gift" for the wedding.
