Hi, and congradulations to you!!!!! I had to reply when I seen you were having a motorcycle wedding, My husband and I are avid Harley riders and on August 4th of last year we had a "biker wedding" WE LOVED IT it was the best time of our lives. The main idea is to keep it "bikerish" what I mean by that is Everyone, including you and the groom and the wedding party dress the part, make sure all your guest know its a biker wedding so "COME AS YOU ARE" no dressen up its a celebration not a funeral, August is HOT and dressing for the occasion was great ALL guest LOVED it. Make sure you go to your local harley shop you will find a cake topper bride and groom on a bike, if they dont have one they can order or find one for you. Our preacher even dressed biker for us, I walked thru an isle of bikes also, make sure you rent a large canopy(white) and use your theme colors, ours of course was the harley orange black and i added alot of white to "wedding it up" a little. Let me know if you are interested i can send some pics of the way we had it set up. On the bikes we ran streamers and tied helium ballons to the handle bars, also for the BIG finish, which was a great touch, when the preacher said you may kiss the bride, as we were announced husband and wife everyone got on the bikes and started them up and they ROARED the pipes....aaahhh greatest feeling we wouldve changed a thing!!!!! good luck to you

Hi there. We are having a Motorcycle/Traditional wedding. The song my bridesmaids are walking down to is Leather and Lace. The groomsmen are wearing their leather jackets with black jeans, white shirts and bow ties, the girls will be wearing formal dresses. For the reception we are using skull vases (we stocked up on after Halloween last year) With flowers and candles. We found a DJ who will Play certain songs that we want nothing traditional except the bridal march but that will be recorded by a friend on electric guitar. I don`t know if this helps anyone. I am still looking for a few ideas here and there also.

This sounds so cool. I went to the bainbridge, GA rally two years ago and they had a wedding there and it was so neat. Just some suggestions for those of you planning a biker wedding/party. Orange and black roses (can get died at any florist) and instead of lace use leather straps and such. I am planning to have my daughter a 4th dirthday party with Harley/ motorcycles as the theme and am doing some of the same stuff here. Orange and Black theme colors, motorcycle cake, leather streamers and black and orange ones as well. Good luck with all the weddings an congrats to you all.

Hi all,
My intended and I are also having a biker wedding, in Sept. We are members of the Christian Motorcylce Assoc. Our attendants will all be in leather and ride in on their bikes. We`ll both be riding down "the aisle", which will be a double line of bikes, and as we go past each biker will turn off their bikes until only mine and his are running. Our Pastor is also a biker and all the guests(bikers and Non bikers) will be asked to dress in jeans and leather vests, if possible.

My wedding day will be here soon, we`re doing it with biker flare, the guys are wearing black jeans, white shirts and black leather vest, the groom is wearing a black leather bolo for a tie. I`m wearing a kinda mid-evil peasent type dress with a boustier,i`m doing roses for flowers( my way of including my mother who died
A few years ago, she loved them), we`re getting married a a local park in town and lineing up the bikes
Across the front and doing a police escorted precession of bikes through town to the reception.
Which will be a biker bash, live band, beer , (champange too) and a whole smoked hog as the diner center piece. The champange bucket is a metal bucket with a harley bar/shield logo, I got roses and candles and little motorcycles for tables.I got the Bride and Groom do rags and love them, they`re for the honeymoon, we`re going to cherokee NC and ride the blueridge parkway. It should be a great time. Should have a good mix of folks, bikers, cma`s, abate groups, work friends and church family. I`m getting really excitied.Just praying all this rain stops

We are planning a biker theme wedding for 6/14/2003. The ceremony and reception will take place outside under a pavillion at a local conservation club. We are going with the traditional H.D. Colors of black and orange. For decorations we are using balloons, streamers, tulle, and white lights. As the reception will go into the evening. The tables (picnic) will have black or orange streamers down the center with clear glass candle holders. Trading off every other with either black or orange votive candles. I have shopped around for motorcycle shaped confetti but haven`t found any yet. I was hoping to sprinkle it down the center of the tables on the streamers. We plan on lining up all the guys bikes that are standing up for us behind a trellis at the end of the pavillion for the ceremony. I`m wearing an off the shoulder satin dress that is tea length in the front and a small just touching the floor length train in the back. My bridemaids and MOH are wearing short black dresses with cap sleeves. I bought them each matching H.D. Earrings and necklaces to wear. We are having black (event) t-shirts made up for the groom and guys to wear instead of shirts with collars. Then of course they will wear jeans. For dinner we decided on a hog roast. Also for after the ceremony we bought bottles of bubbles at one of the local dollar stores. We are going to cover them with black tulle and tie them with orange ribbon. The cake will also have the orange and black flower theme with a H.D. Cake top. Hope some of these ideas help. And good luck to all of you!!

Well our day finally came and it was great. We had the wedding out doors at a local park lined the bikes up
Across the front. I had an off the shoulder dress made
And he wore black jeans a wite button down shirt with a blackleather vest and Harley bolo tie, best man the same except no tie. We had a good mix of folks, from our jobs, church and of course lots of "Biker Trash".
It was a beutiful day . We arranged for a police escort for our precession to the reception about fortyfive bikes.
It was great, a friend hand made my garter from a bandana and black lace. The wedding cake was roses and so we`re my flowers in memory of my mom.
For the grooms cake I found a company that can make an edible cake topper out of any picture so we did a harley logo with flames it really looked cool.We had a
Rock bad that played till 2am. I used little toy harleys
And roses on all the tables. My brothe took pictures and down loaded them on his lap top and put them on the sign in table at the reception and everyone loved it.
I spent a lot of time worring about a lot of small details
But in the end it did matter. Everyone in town is talking about the coolest wedding they ever saw and we`re
Very happy and heading for our honeymoon in a day or two to Cherokee NC. For a biker rally and to ride the blue ridge parkway. We got the bride and groom do rags just for the ride. If anyone would like to se pictures I should have them on the computor soon
Best of Luck to the rest of you.

I too am getting married October 4th. We are trying a biker/traditional style wedding. Hopefully it will work out and not be too tacky!! Everyone in our wedding party is liking it also. The guys like it since they don`t have to wear a full tux, just the shirts and bow ties. I am located in Iowa so we are praying that the weather will be nice. Where abouts are you guys located?

We are from WV, but like 5 min from the md/wv line, getting married in Williamsport MD.
We are also doing the "traditional" wedding with a biker kick.
Hoping the weather will be nice so we can ride off on the bike.
We are very excited about it, just wish the rest of the party were as into it as us :(
I actually considered tossing the entire idea and going to vegas for a "harley theme" wedding.
But I think we decided not to let "people" rain on our parade.
Hope you guys have a great turn out!
:)

Well if I were you I wouldn`t let people stop you from having the wedding you want. My father`s family is having puppies because I want a biker wedding but I`m still having it.
For our wedding we`re doing a traditional biker wedding. Everyone in the wedding party is going to be wearing leather. We`re leaving on a harley, and even the man preforming the services is a biker. We`re having it at a bike ralley called the Harley Drags, that`s held here in KY at Beech Bend every year. We`re going to do it right on the drag strip!
I hope everyone else`s wedding goes great. Good luck to you all :)

I looked everywhere and never found any I did find a place that said they would make some for me but it was extreamly expensive, so I went with some black and silver, but you could probley find black and orange
If you wanted to do Harley colors.
If you planning a ride though town on the bikes check with your local police dept about doing a police escort
Our local sherif`s dept and city police did a wonder job
Of stopping traffic and blocking intersections. A lot of peaple in town heard about it ahead of time and turned out to wave and wish us well. It`s been 3 Mons and people still stop us in the store and say " Hey your those folks that had that awsome Biker Wedding" and
Tell us the saw us in the park or the precession through
Town. If any one would like to see the pictures email me @ pgamblin@bellsouth.net and I can email them
Too ya It was totoally cool.

I am planning on having a biker themed wedding, not sure how the family is going to react to it, but this is my second wedding and I want to do it my way this time, and have fun with it. I have read the ideas here in the message board and loved all your ideas, but I am still uncertain of how to plan this wedding, if anyone has pictures and wouldnt mind sending them to me, I would love to look at your pictures, What I am thinking is basicly have the men in jeans and leather of course, but my dress is the hard part. I would like to find some little sexy white (or silver) leather dress or something in white or silver that fits the biker theme. Has anyone got any ideas on what I should wear? I dont want to look trashy but sexy. Any ideas?I want my colors to be white, black and of course chrome (silver). I will have small children in the wedding party and need to included them into something biker as well. You can email with your ideals or pictures. THanks, need all the help I can get.
