Vegas Wedding-Need Advice
I need some serious ADVICE. My boyfriend and I have never been to Vegas, but we have decided that this is where we are going to elope in August. Anyone ever get married in Vegas? What can I expect? We`re looking for a very informal but memorable ceremony. Any suggestions? HELP!

I searched and searched the internet for all the wedding sites in Las Vegas. I have never been there either. We are not going to elope so I tried to find the perfect place, but I couldnt. Not for a large group anyway. There is a ton of information if you look up weddings on www.vegas.com
HOpefully you will have more luck!

That was our original plan -- but now we are on a boat instead -- BUT -- Vegas is fairly easy because a lot of the big hotels offer package deals -- We looked into the Venetian, Bellagio and Monte Carlo -- all had packages available and it was all inclusive (about $1500) -- It is a place to start.

I`m getting married this January in Las Vegas and I often visit there with my fiance. Usually about once a month being that we`re only 3 hours away but bein so far it is kinda hard deciding on where to get married but checking places online helped a lil get an idea. After going over and over everywhere on the strip we decided on Caesers Palace. You can check out this site: http://www.goingtovegas.com/ It has its tips on Las Vegas and gives the list of sites to the different hotels by clicking on "websites" on that page. Pretty much the majority of hotels on the strip have a chapel and packages that are indicated on the hotels sites. The site is helpful in detail also about weather, shuttles, etc. You can also go to http://www.unlv.edu/Tourism/lvwed.html and there is also a list of chapels that arent in the hotels but the little chapels along the strip :-) Hope this helps!

Hi! I`m getting married at the Venetian on July 10/02. Now it is only the 2 of us, as we are having a more elaborate wedding once we move back to Canada. I`ll let you know how it went, and any suggestions I have.
Good Luck!

I live in vegas and my hubby and I did a spur of the moment wedding. You can get the marriage license pretty much 24/7 for 35 dollars, you need your id`s and if you are looking to really go cheap for the ceremony for another 35 the justice of the peace will marry you. Other than that you have a variety of hotels, I would choose the mirage or bellagio, or you could choose the Venitian, my favorite!!! It is a model of Venice, Italy with real canals and you can ride on the gondolas. Cesaers is great also! Good Luck!!!!

I don`t know how much you wanted to spend or how fancy you want the place to be, but I just married last night at this chapel accross from the courthouse. It`s not too big of a chapel but it was very nice, not at cheesy. The staff there was very professional, helpful and not at all pushy. Our ceremony was not an in and out, about 15 minutes or so. The name of the chapel is Las Vegas Wedding Bureau at 320 S. Third St. Downtown. They have a website at 702wedding.com. Hope this helps! Good Luck!

Bellagio was our first choice, but we went with the Venetien...It was about 1700 for the wedding which was the second pkg available...75 extra for the minister, 40 extra as a tip for the photographer to take some pics with "our" camera...75 extra for the gondola ride.
That only gave us a leather album, a bouquet and a boutineer...and a discount on our suite for 1 night...nothing else...we met with the co-ordinators 1 time-can`t figure out what they did next, or what the huge cost was for as we paid the minister and gondola ride seperate.
I have to say the pics were gorgeous, until they were blown up..thankfullu my husband has a professional camera, so the pics we asked the photographer to take were actually better (even the photographer was commenting about james` camera).
Overall, Vegas was great, as was the service...but if you are eloping or having a small wedding opt for paying a minister and finding a gorgeous spot....

I was married in Vegas in Dec. 2002. The wedding was held at A Special Memory Wedding Chapel. For the wedding package it was about $740.00. I vacation in Vegas, so I spent 3 weeks looking for a wedding/reception location. Email me at: pugromeo@earthlink.net

We are planning on getting married at the Venetian in March of 2005. I am now very concerned about planning a wedding and paying 15,000+ for reception and all. Do you believe it is truely worth it? All help would be appreciated before we put the down payment.
