Hey!!! I have the perfect place for you! I am from a little town in southeast GA called Brunswick. I am getting married there and having my reception on Jekyll Island. Jekyll and St. Simons Island are sooo awesome! I don`t know where you are from, but if you ever get a chance to take a visit, do it! Jekyll is much more laid back with old oak trees, deserted beaches, golf courses, and good restaurants. There is a little wedding chapel there called Faith Chapel. There is also a place called the Jekyll Island Club which is fabulous for dining or for a reception and there`s a hotel and cottages there, too. Jekyll Island Club is very expensive, though! (but gorgeous!)
St. Simons Island is more fun, beach bars, music, lots of restaurants, hotels, a pier with fishing, and there`s a wedding chapel there, too... Lovely Lane Chapel. A lot of people have receptions at the King and Prince Hotel which is soooo cool but very expensive! Another reception option is Sea Palms Golf Resort... Very nice and on a golf course and the marsh.. If you are into that sort of thing.
Hope this helps! It is really pretty down there... Google it up and see if you can find some cool pictures. This area is ONE hour south of Savannah and ONE hour north of Jacksonville, FL. Let me know what you think! And where are you from??
