Wedding On A Budget

Hi everyone! I am having an outdoor wedding (well in a tent). I am on a very tight budget and am looking for some cost cutting ideas. We are having about 75 people coming. If you have some please let me know!

Hi Dana,
I am having a small wedding, about 50 people. Mine will be indoors though. Total cost including honeymoon is approx. $5500. I`ve done a lot of things myself-invitations, favours, decorations, etc. Shop around for the best deals...a lot of vendors will work within your budget.

Hi, I`m in a similar situations. Our wedding is in March, I`m putting away at the least 300 a month til then excluding december, and my mother is putting in about the same. We are inviting about 75 people, and we`re looking for some ideas to keep costs down since so far I can`t find a gown that I love as much as the first one I`ve found which is 780 with alterations. I can`t see going down the aisle in a gown that I don`t completely love. Anyone want to talk? Boberry20@yahoo.com

Try going to the dollar store to get things like candles and basketts. Print your own invitations. Check out the Martha Stewart web site for more info. There have been a few similar posts there.

I don`t know if we are asking for the world, but my fiancee and I are trying to find a package deal for our wedding. We are both very busy and it would be worth some extra money for the piece of mind if we could find an all inclusive package. Does anyone have any ideas on how we could get an affordable wedding without doing everything ourselves?

Some catering halls will do everything for you. They usually have connections with photographers, videographers, printers for invitations, matches, stirrers, favors, etc.

Or... How about hiring a wedding planner?

Good luck!

Try going to department stores after the local schools homecoming or prom are over. They have a lot of dresses left over(including white ones) that they discount. I paid only $40 fo my wedding dress and nobody knew the difference. It`s beautiful.
