*~ Bridal Sneakers? Acceptable Or Not? ~*

I need some advice on this. And i hope to get a better responce by starting my own topic. :)
I had originally thought about wearing some nicely decorated sneakers under my wedding dress instead of shoes. I have super small feet (size 2 or 3 in youth sizes) and wanted to get some platform sneakers. (i`m also real petite, 4`11) My family looked at me like i had 10 heads. I`m about to put my foot down, and tell them i want to wear sneakers, after all, i`m the one getting married right? i just thought i`d ask some advice before i said anything..
