As one of the largest wholesalers of tower vases online, Koyal Wholesale (http://wholesale.koyal.com) would like to offer some advice in purchasing these vases, as we have had a lot of brides ask us questions before purchasing online:
1. Make sure they are made of glass, not plastic, even though the price may be cheaper, the weight of the flowers is prone to tip over the tower vase centerpiece.
2. We recommend you purchase a vase 20" or higher anything lower is not advised, since the floral bouquet will block the guests from seeing each other.
3. Ask the person you are purchasing from how the vases are packed and shipped, and most importantly whether the package is insured. FedEx and UPS insured packages automatically for up to $100.
4. Watch out for vendors who give you a lowball quote on the vase, because they may be overcharging on shipping. From California to New York, for example, shipping for 12 32" vases is around $35-40 and possibly cheaper depending on where the item is being shipped too. If you can get the vases shipped to a business address (i.e. Your florist) as opposed to a residential, shipping will be possibly $2-3 cheaper. (Keep in mind shipping is cheaper if you get a smaller size vase and if you are closer to the point of shipping origin). If you are getting shipping quotes of $50+ you are being overcharged if you live within the 48 states, Alaska and Hawaii are naturally higher.
5. Always make sure to ask how the vases are packed during shipping, Koyal Wholesale takes extra care in packing our vases and we ensure safe delivery anywhere in the U.S. Or Canada.
6. Watch of for online auctions on tower vases, as the seller is making up the cost of posting their product and selling their product by adding the fee to either their shipping or the price of the vase, hence increasing your cost. We can beat legitimate online auction sellers on price!
7. If you are planning on renting the vases, keep in the mind that the cost to rent may just be the same as the cost to buy, BUT the major difference is that if you buy the vases, you do not have to worry about a guest taking off with a rented vase or possibly breaking the vase at the reception, etc. Hence either forfeiting your deposit or possibly paying more for damaging the rented product.
