Who`s Names Should Go On The Invitations

My daughter is getting married and her soon to be mother -in-law told her that all the parents names should be on the invitation to avoid hurt feelings. (her fiance`s parents are divorced) we are paying for the wedding and the grooms mother is pitching in 2 thousand and the grooms father is pitching in 2 thousand, that should pay for the rehearsal dinner and some of the alcohol. Should their names be on the invitations?

Traditionally, since the bride`s parents pay for the wedding, they are they ones hosting the wedding and inviting the guests. In that instance, only the bride`s parents names would be listed on the invitations.

It is becoming more common for the groom`s parents to be included on the invitations. It is a nice gesture... But it is not required unless they are making a large contribution towards the wedding expenses. The rehearsal dinner is traditionally paid for by the groom`s family.
