Depo

I hear all of these horror stories about depo.ANd the horrors out weigh the positive stories.SO that should tell you something right there about wether or not to get the shot.YOu are most likely to have less side effects if you haven`t had a child.My story of being on depo goes like this.I first got put on it when i was 17.I had two shots in a 6 month period.I had no periods of course but also no side effects what so ever from it.Of course when it wore off I thought i would get my period.I didn`t.I had the first shot in january 1999 but didn`t get my period again tell january 2000.So it took 6 months after the shot wore off to get my period.I had it for a month.After that i had no form of birth control.After my 2nd child was born in aug 2004 i got put on it in september.At first I had a period that lasted about 2 weeks and then I didn`t have them.I didn`t go back on it on my december deadline.I had such bad side effects from it.Maybe not as bad as some but to me it turned me into the devil himself.I had moodswings galore and major weight gain.I got one period back in january .I had also taken a prego test before that turned out to be negative.I was on it for 10 days.Since then i have still yet to have a period.Maybe the after shock of depo is why i feel so tired all the time and feel like my bones are going to break every time i get up in the morning.I don`t know.ALl i can say I have no energy at all like i used to have.I have taken blood test after blood test and everything comes back normal.ALl i can say is really no one should be taking it.Even the ones that do have good stories to tell.Cause before kids i could tell you it was great to be on it.After kids after your body has changed so much the chemicals in the shot react differently to your changed hormones.SO i wouldn`t recommend it.ANd you know what else?YOu read these stories and all of them are similar and all the same.ALl the same side effects and the doctors out there still have the nerve to say it is safe.Just another quick way to make them money I`d say.
