Deprovera
Hello all. My name is Evie and I`m single and 35 years old.
I am so sorry to read all of the stories from all of the women that have had terrible experiences because of this horrible excuse for birth control. Although it was prescribed to me because my periods are so painful and since I have a few auto-immune diseases, the joint, muscle and bone pain were intensified more when my monthly menstrual cycle came. I`m angry that knowing my background and now reading about the side effects, it is known that these hormones can trigger Lupus (an auto immune disease) and the like. I definitely feel the difference in my body since I`ve started the deprovera January 11, 2005. The adverse reactions began in the middle of February and I finally decided not to continue with the 2nd shot due in April. I too have had terrible mood swings, very bad joint, muslce and bone pain, ACNE (which I have NEVER had), 10lb of weight gain and to top it all off some nasty urinary tract infection that hasn`t gone away even after 2 rounds of antibiotics and many tubes of prescribed cream. I have never experienced any type of vaginal infection even when I was married or when I had a few boyfriends throughout the years.
I so relied on my doctors that I couldn`t pinpoint that it is indeed this Deprovera that has been causing all of this chaos in my body. I`ve been backtracking since my problems of late and the only reasonable, logical answer is this Deprovera.
Oh well, just thought that I`d share and please think about both the good and the bad from starting any medicine AND most importantly DO SOME RESEARCH. I didn`t do this and put my health in the hands of people I thought wouldn`t steer me wrong. Perhaps they didn`t intend to and like others have said every person has different reactions so I`m not trying to scare anyone off but be prepared to suffer consequences for your decisions. I regret starting this and am wondering if there any people out there that have stopped the Deprovera and how long it took for their systems to return to some sort of normalecy, if at all. I would appreciate any feedback. Thanks in advance everyone. Be well.
Evie
