Renaissance Wedding Dress

I`m planning a Renaissance wedding and am looking for a wedding dress that fits the theme. I have found numerous sites online, but I need to be able to try the dress on before I buy it. I live in New Jersey and am having a difficult time finding a shop that has the dresses that I am searching for.

Thanks, Adele

You might consider talking to a seamstress about making you a dress. I did this (mine is only Renaissance flavored), and my seamstress and I found a lot of wonderful dresses in pattern books. Also, I found it to be much less expensive to hire this woman to make my dress, and I got exactly what I wanted. We took sleeves from one pattern, back from another, train from another, so on.

I also know that one of my best friends had a Renaissance wedding and she found her absolutely stunning, dreamy dress at a dress shop in Saratoga Springs NY. Are ya` up for a road trip?

Good luck,

Lisa,

Thanks for your reply. My mother found a seamstress through a friend and I visited with her yesterday. I showed her a picture of a dress that I found online and she is going to sew it for me. So I am very happy that I have can have the dress I want and be assured of it`s good quality and construction.

Thanks again.

Hi,

Here is the website address for the dress I found online. Http://www.katrinamariedesigns.com/gowns.htm

It`s quite lovely. It`s the top one on the right.
