Shower Invites Question

My sisiter is getting married on june 17th. I asked when she would like her bridal shower and she said april 23rd. I asked her when she willl be mailing out her wedding invites and she told me april 22nd. I told her she had to pick a new shower date because I thought it was rude to mail out a bridal shower invite before wedding invites had been received especially since it is a large wedding.
