I need some ideas for a fun, casual rehearsal dinner. The wedding and reception are going to be very formal. So, we were hoping for something fun for a rehearsal dinner. Any Ideas?

Unfortunately my inlaws were deceased for my wedding so my family had to pay for the wedding and rehearsal dinner. We did it very casual......at a pizza place. After the rehearsal for the ceremony we went to pizza hut (some of the pizza huts have a banquet room that doesn`t cost anything to use). We only had 15 people there so we were able to call ahead when we left the church. We didn`t have to worry about being late for reservations......sometimes rehearsals can go over their time limit. We choose to do this because everybody loves pizza....and for those who don`t we let them order something else from the menu. Plus it is very inexpensive compared to a sit down style dinner. We ordered around 5 pizzas and some breadsticks, and a few pitchers of pop...it averaged only $10.00 a person and that was including the tip. And plus having it there you don`t have to clean up and can wear anything there. It is also a great time to just relax before the big day. Good luck!!

When my got married last summer, the rehearsal dinner was at an arcade. They were on a strict budget too. They rented a private room for 40, that included the room and the food (burgers, hot dogs, chips, salads and chocolate chip cookies and unlimited soft drinks), I believe the charge was around $12 per person. It was a cash bar for those who wanted to drink. It was lots of fun.

My daughter`s also was at a pizza place. They live out of state, and this particular place is my Son in Laws favorite all time pizza. They have small private rooms that you can use. We had about 40 people. I think alot of places have these these small rooms that can be reserved for no fee. They also had packages you could choose from.
My son just was best man in a wedding and it was held at Dave and Busters (not sure if this is a nation wide change or not) but it is a large arcade/restaurant/bar type place.

My son is getting marrie in September and we are going to have a spaghetti dinner complete with checkered tablecloths, candles, spaghetti, meat sauce, warm garlic bread and crisp salads. I am making a small teired cake in the wedding colors for the dessert. It will be less expensive than eating out, too.
