Bachlorette Party

I know this seems kinda silly and i have to ask because i have never done or been to one. Is it okay to ask the guests to help pay for their part in a bachlorette party?? or is this something that has to be completely paid for by the host? i would like to have everybody chip in $20.00. It is only going to be a girls night in.......kinda a pajama party but a lot more relaxing. I would like to be able to make each guest a pair of slippers and bath robe for this but i am looking at about $25.00 a piece plus all of the food. I have to throw a shower and a bachlorette party for the bride and i don`t have a lot of cash to do so. Any advice would be appreciated.

Every bachelorette party I have ever been to as well as the one that has been thrown for me, had guests chip in. They either give money to the one hosting, or if it is something like a night of bar-hopping, everyone just pays for their own drinks, etc. The only one who should be taken care of is the bride.
