Fall Wedding
I am looking for decorating and centerpiece ideas for a fall wedding. I do not want any pumpkins or squash for the theme. I would like to have a very elegant looking wedding. My main color that I would like to use is eggplant. Does anyone have any creative ideas and suggestions?

My aunt came up with what I think is an awesome idea...you can use it anytime really, too. You know how there are wire picture holders that look like a spray? We are going to use those as center pieces and put baby pictures of my fiance and I in them and then give the holders to who ever wants them. You have to decorate the base though, which you can do with a ring of flowers or just some material that will match your wedding colors.

Iam also a november bride having a fall theme(no pumkins etc.) My flowergirl is going to drop silk fall colored leaves. My favors are from Yankee Candle pumkin spice with a fall leave label wrapped in Ivory tulle. My unity candle will be a fall themed set I got online has actual leaves in it. My invitations are ecru with colored leaves on the front...they are called Falling Leaves....very pretty! My flowergirls basket is Ivory with gold embroidery. My peace roses are going to be Ivory (not red) My dress is Ivory I want NO WHITE anything. My flowers are going to be butterscotch, rust, burgandy, and oranges with hypericum berries. My centerpieces are tall glass vases filled with fall silk flowers topped with an ivory bun candle and a beautiful gold ribbon around the neck. We are going to scatter silk colored leaves around them on the table. My girls dresses are called shimmering brown leaf. The guys are wearing a darker gold tie with their tuxes. For a card collector I bought a small apple basket that I`m going to spray gold and decorated with the same flowers in the centerpieces and my fiance is going to cut plexiglass and put a slot in it where you can place the card in. Then decorated it with the same gold ribbon that also is on the centerpieces. Then lie it on itside on the gift table.I found some chocolate leave shaped candies in fall color fil that I may use for shower favors...not sure yet. Hope some of this has helped you

I would love to know where you got your invitations. I am having an October wedding and have similar ideas as you. My flower girl will also be dropping the leaves and I did read somewhere to have the guests as you leave the church to thor leaves instead of anything else.

Hi There! I thought I`d give you a few ideas:
For my Centerpieces, I`m painting terra-cotta pots a rust/wine color, and using the pot trays, as lids. Then you tie a bow around each one and hang a little cinnamon stick off each one with a little tag with a poem or your names on it. Then these sit about 10 to a table, you fill them with candy corn, stack them up very nice on a bed of tulle with some silk leaves. And vuallah! You`ve got centerpieces that double as the party favors! Another thing is you can tie some berries around each one. Hope this hepled!

My fiance and I had planned on late Sept. Early Oct. Wedding. My ideas are to make/find some short trees with fall foliage on them. These will stand between each pew on the left. I want a grass runner (prefably fake) and the flower girl will throw fall colored leaves and we would also like to have leaves thrown as we exit. While shopping for brides maid dresses I fell in love with bronze. Our flowers will have orange, red, yellow, etc. For napkin holders I want to alternate butterflies and leaves. I would love more ideas and hope that this helps you. Feel free to email me at shauna_nix@hotmail.com

We are getting married in October and had the same dilemma. We found a lot of squash and pumpkin themes. We went with autumn leaves, acorns and cranberry/grape vine decor. We have caramel apples as placemarkers and homemade jams and jellies as gifts.
Good luck!

We are having an October wedding and decided to go with a branch theme. Our florist is making our centerpieces out of curly willow banches with hanging vontive candles. Our colors are chocolate brown and light blue. We too, wanted to stay far away from pumkins, fall colors, etc... We also found these great metal iron tress that are about 5 feet tall. We plan on hanging votives from them as well. We are putting one of these metal trees on our excort table and plan on scattering maple shaped leaves (place cards) in our colors at the base of the tree. For a more warmer feel we have candy apples for favors and are serving mulled apple cider.
FYI, if anyone wants to use the candy apple idea, please let me know because I found a great place that does them for a very reasonable price.

We are also getting married in the fall and I am looking for a few ideas and hoping some of you can help. I am looking for pictures of some beautiful fall cakes people have seen, head table or cake table backdrops, and some cheap but nice party favors. Also Jemmy below stated that she had purchased her unity candle on line and it had leaves in it - how cool where did you purchase that? Also if anyone has any bouquet ideas that would be awesome too - I want color in my bouquet and am having a hard time. The girls dresses are Plum or some say eggplant!! Thank you so much for all of your help in advance!!!

My sister-in-law is getting married next fall and she wanted to make cady apples as a favor or part of the after dinner treats. I read in one of the replies that someone knows of a cheap place for that? Thanks!
